Barnsley Bate has a long standing association with all denominations, and a wealth of experience and understanding of the specific needs of places of worship.

We are registered church inspectors and have experience in all construction types and ages of churches and associated buildings. Be it a 14th century stone built church or contemporary design, we can offer experienced advice.
We undertake quinquennial inspection and reports, setting out present repair and condition and recommendations for works over a five year programme; including all aspects of desirable and statutory elements.

Our projects have included refurbishment of convent accommodation, including specific care facilities; repair & refurbishment of church halls and accommodation. Introduction of mezzanine floors in bell towers, re-ordering of churches along with the more mundane lead theft renewal and clearing of gutters.

Where possible, we will offer advice in respect of works where Grant Aid may be available and assist in the application procedure to ensure strict compliance with assistance procedures.
